The Aspire 2018 Inspirational You Workshop

Friday, 6th July 2018 at Etc. Venues County Hall, Riverside Building, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 7PB, UK

The ability to truly inspire others is one of the stand out strengths of women leaders and critical in today's economy and unstable world. Inspiring leaders use their unique combination of strengths to motivate individuals and teams to take on bold missions – and hold them accountable for results. They unlock higher performance through empowerment to both inspire, and get, great performance.

Yet, in the latest Harvard Business Review employer surveys, less than half of respondents said their leaders were inspiring, fostered engagement and role modelled the culture and values of the organisation. Now more than ever, business and the wider world needs a better balance of both women and men leaders to inspire hope for the future alongside the stability needed in order for people to succeed in their careers and organisations.

Join a select group of female peers from across levels and industries to:

  • Learn the Aspire Model of Inspirational Leadership with new approaches, research and best practice gathered from Aspire's work with over 10,000 senior female leaders.
  • Inspire yourself. Inspirational leaders know what inspires them and find ways to motivate themselves to be inspired rather than succumb to external negative influences, people and challenging times.
  • Build courage. Increase your confidence, stand up for what you believe in an inspiring way so that others find the courage to overcome obstacles too.
  • Understand your own authentic Inspirational Leadership style and how best to strengthen and leverage it. Learn how to flex your approach to appeal to others to effectively inspire them to action.
  • Clarify your own unique driving forces and leadership purpose to gain a level of drive and resilience that inspires yourself and others to overcome challenges, not give up and do their best work.
  • Become a 'real role model' who others want to aspire to become and who inspires others to do more in their careers and lives.
  • Learn about some of the specific organisational and socio-cultural challenges for women as leaders with regards to being an inspirational leader and how to navigate them.
  • Get others to do what they says they are going to do - empower and delegate in an inspiring way, especially through difficult times or challenging circumstances.
  • Experience what it’s like to communicate in an inspiring way even with a difficult message and receive strengths focused feedback from peers.
  • Learn techniques to manage upwards, effectively 'pick your battles' and know the differences when it comes to inspiring your boss or senior people and/or your team into action.
  • Develop tools in how to work with people you do not always find inspiring and keep yourself energised, on track and remain calm under stress.
  • Leave with an inspiring and practical action plan that will propel you and others to make your goals a reality.
  • Build a strong network of like-minded peers that will enable the sharing of ideas, resources and accountability to make sure you stay on track and achieve results.
  • Get out of the office for a day to focus on yourself, get out of your comfort zone and really challenge yourself. Helps to keep you on your toes and out of your inbox!
  • Gain new ideas and best practices to contribute to your diversity and inclusion goals to advance, develop and empower women leaders in your organisation and in your wider community and world.

We are delighted that Dr Sam Collins, CEO of Aspire, named 'One of the Top 10 Executive Coaches in the UK’ by The Independent on Sunday and recognised by her Majesty, The Queen as one of 'The Top 200 Women to Impact Business and Industry' will be in the UK to facilitate this one-day workshop personally with a limited number of attendees.

The Aspire 2018 Leadership Presence and Impact one-day workshop

Wednesday 10th October 2018 at Etc. Venues County Hall, Riverside Building, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 7PB, UK

With new and updated content derived from our annual Aspire research over the past 10 years, Presence and Impact is consistently rated by CEOs as the number 1 most important skill to be a successful leader (over and above intelligence, experience and technical expertise). Often described as gravitas, authority and the intangible 'leader thing', presence and impact is one of the biggest keys to being successful, confident and making the maximum difference with others.

Yet only 3% of women actually get feedback on their presence and impact and it's one of those frustratingly tricky things to measure and improve. We work with women who are seeking the stretch and inspiration to trail blaze new ways of creating bigger impact through content and an approach that is expertly tailored to you - not to mention the incredible support, positive affirmation and challenge that happens when you come out of your organisation for a day and you spend time with an external and diverse network of like-minded women in leadership.

Benefits you'll gain:

  • Build the credibility, visibility and authority to achieve bigger impact and outstanding results.
  • Gain practical and profound 'how to' strategies and tool kits on how to increase your presence and impact with others, especially in difficult situations and with challenging people.
  • Take the time out to explore and set inspiring goals for the impact that you aspire to have in your career, organisation and/or in your industry, community or world.
  • Discover the impact you have on others right now, receive first-hand honest and supportive feedback on your current presence and impact strengths and how to take it to the next level.
  • Get clear on your own authentic presence, what drives you and your unique talents and style that will maximise your presence and impact confidence in new and challenging situations.
  • Understand and overcome what stops you maximising your presence and impact with your boss, team, colleagues and others.
  • Know about unconscious bias with regards to women's presence and impact as leaders and what to do (and not do) about it.
  • Develop a doable action plan for back in the real world including how to implement changes, get feedback and have an empowering peer group of mentors, sponsors and role models.
  • Take a day out of your inbox to focus on yourself and join an inspiring external network with tangible business and personal benefits to yourself and your organisation.
  • Gain new ideas and contribute to your organisational diversity and inclusion goals to advance, develop and retain women leaders.

Corporate price per place = £795.00 + VAT. Register at bottom of page. We offer special rates of £495 + VAT for non-profits, small business (fewer than 200 employees) and self-funding individuals - contact us here for details. Please contact us here for rates for Aspire Rewards Trailblazers.

  • Develop your self belief, overcome modesty and your fears about being in the spotlight to create a more empowering perspective on profile raising.
  • Identify your key supporters, influencers, mentors plus the difficult people that you need to influence to raise your profile and visibility.
  • Stop playing it safe, start raising your head above the parapet, taking risks and making more of a difference to others.
  • Develop your ability to say no, to not always be liked and to sometimes live without others' approval.
  • Explore what you want to be known for in your life, career and workplace without being pushy, arrogant or selling your soul along the way.
  • Be part of the Aspire network and share ideas with other women around the world, gain the support, new perspectives and energy to keep moving forward.
  • Be exposed to new leadership ideas and thinking that will create real and tangible benefit for yourself as an individual and your organisation.
  • Leave with practical actions to apply to your own life, work and world.

This event is delivered by  Dr Sam Collins, one of the Top Ten Executive Coaches in the UK, winner of the Leader in the Workplace award for social leadership and recognised by Her Majesty, The Queen as one of the UK's Top 200 Women to Impact Business & Industry

The Aspire 2019 Boost Your Resilience video webinar

Tuesday, 16th July, 2019 at 4.00pm UK (5.00pm CET) for 90 minutes. If you cannot make this date/time, you can register anyway and receive the event recording and resources the next day.

Resilience is at the top of a must-have list for women leaders to be able to deal with today's work and life overload, time deprivation, financial pressures, resourcing cuts, challenging people, unconscious bias and traditional organisational cultures. Yet more than just coping and surviving, resilience is a fundamental management and leadership skill.

Research shows that resilient women outperform their peers, gain leadership positions and are more personally fulfilled and balanced. According to the Harvard Business Review: 'More than education, more than experience, more than training, a person's level of resilience determines who succeeds and who fails. It's true in the Olympics and it's true in the boardroom'.

This online seminar is for you if you are:

  • In the middle of or embarking on a challenging role, restructure or project at work.
  • Needing to thrive in a difficult environment or with people that require the ability to bounce back fast.
  • Increasing your ability to be brave and achieve much more in your life, work and world.
  • Looking to make a bigger impact and difference and you know it will require resilience.
  • Going through a career, business, organisational or life change.
  • Trying to juggle it all and you could do with a boost of inspiration!
  • Dreaming, visioning (or procrastinating!) on achieving something new, big or different that requires resilience this year.

The key outcomes and deliverables you will take away with you from this 90-minute online video webinar are:

  • Develop your 'Resilience Quota'- the ability to bounce back quickly from unexpected challenges and conflicts.
  • Learn how to thrive after failure, not take things personally and deal with rejection.
  • Know how to manage difficult and stressful relationships and politics while staying calm and resilient in the moment.
  • Develop your patience and agility to make changes when your plans are not happening as fast as you would like.
  • Understand how women specifically are resilient and how this plays out at work.
  • Grow your ability to keep going and stay on track and positive about the future even when you feel like giving up.
  • Be part of the Aspire network and share ideas with other women around the world, gain the support, new perspectives and energy to keep moving forward.
  • Leave with practical actions to apply to your own life, work and world.
  • Have focused time to stop, think and reflect on what you need to do to be more resilient achieve your personal and professional goals this year.

Building Blocks for the Girls

We have to believe inside that we deserve to be where we are, and to achieve what we have achieved.
