The Aspire 2018 Inspirational You Workshop

50% discount available until the end of January 2018. (Usual price £795 + VAT).

Wednesday, 11th July 2017 at Etc. Venues County Hall, Riverside Building, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 7PB, UK

The ability to truly inspire others is one of the stand out strengths of women leaders and critical in today's economy and unstable world. Inspiring leaders use their unique combination of strengths to motivate individuals and teams to take on bold missions – and hold them accountable for results. They unlock higher performance through empowerment to both inspire, and get, great performance.

Yet, in the latest Harvard Business Review employer surveys, less than half of respondents said their leaders were inspiring, fostered engagement and role modelled the culture and values of the organisation. Now more than ever, business and the wider world needs a better balance of both women and men leaders to inspire hope for the future alongside the stability needed in order for people to succeed in their careers and organisations.

Join a select group of female peers from across levels and industries to:

  • Learn the Aspire Model of Inspirational Leadership with new approaches, research and best practice gathered from Aspire's work with over 10,000 senior female leaders.
  • Inspire yourself. Inspirational leaders know what inspires them and find ways to motivate themselves to be inspired rather than succumb to external negative influences, people and challenging times.
  • Build courage. Increase your confidence, stand up for what you believe in an inspiring way so that others find the courage to overcome obstacles too.
  • Understand your own authentic Inspirational Leadership style and how best to strengthen and leverage it. Learn how to flex your approach to appeal to others to effectively inspire them to action.
  • Clarify your own unique driving forces and leadership purpose to gain a level of drive and resilience that inspires yourself and others to overcome challenges, not give up and do their best work.
  • Become a 'real role model' who others want to aspire to become and who inspires others to do more in their careers and lives.
  • Learn about some of the specific organisational and socio-cultural challenges for women as leaders with regards to being an inspirational leader and how to navigate them.
  • Get others to do what they says they are going to do - empower and delegate in an inspiring way, especially through difficult times or challenging circumstances.
  • Experience what it’s like to communicate in an inspiring way even with a difficult message and receive strengths focused feedback from peers.
  • Learn techniques to manage upwards, effectively 'pick your battles' and know the differences when it comes to inspiring your boss or senior people and/or your team into action.
  • Develop tools in how to work with people you do not always find inspiring and keep yourself energised, on track and remain calm under stress.
  • Leave with an inspiring and practical action plan that will propel you and others to make your goals a reality.
  • Build a strong network of like-minded peers that will enable the sharing of ideas, resources and accountability to make sure you stay on track and achieve results.
  • Get out of the office for a day to focus on yourself, get out of your comfort zone and really challenge yourself. Helps to keep you on your toes and out of your inbox!
  • Gain new ideas and best practices to contribute to your diversity and inclusion goals to advance, develop and empower women leaders in your organisation and in your wider community and world.

Building Blocks for the Girls

We have to believe inside that we deserve to be where we are, and to achieve what we have achieved. But we also have to understand that we cannot hold a belief that society owes us anything and instead make our own destinies, and likewise complain that nothing will ever change without understanding that we can control our own reality.
